Aer is a private local (+secondary) storage utility application for android. Do you worry about your private pictures or files appearing in other apps? That's where Aer private storage comes in. Files in Aer storage won't appear in the other apps. Note: Aer is in development 🏗️. Accidents happen. Please keeps backups 👷‍♀️ for your protection. Instead of being a stand-alone file manager, Aer hooks into various components of Android, making it feel like a native part of the operating system. Moreover, it provides ways for the user to export contents from other apps and save them in Aer storage. When available Aer will store your files on external storage (which tend to have larger capacity). This also allows accessing your private files on your computer when connected using USB cable (MTP). The storage backend used is also manually configurable.

The objective of the game is to discover a hidden word by matching the letters that make it up. For this, the program proposes a random word obtained from the web or from its own word store, depending on the selected game mode. The application has 4 levels organized in 2 game modes: Topics (offline): Provides a hint about the words, which are organized into categories. Junior (online): Reduced list of about 500 easier words for children. Advanced (online): Base of about 4,000 words. Expert (online): Extensive word base (around 640,000 words), including numerous verb forms, which greatly increases the difficulty. Free open source software that does not require any special permission, only the permission of internet connection to search words, although it is possible to play without internet connection in the offline levels.

This is a camera app for Android that automatically recognises the pixel location of people, cats or dogs in the camera view and blurs the background simulating depth of field. It can also gray out the background leaving only the recognised object in colour. The app uses a convolutional neural network to perform the detection. A TensorFlow implementation of the neural network can be found here. It was trained on a dataset of images consisting of people, cats and dogs and the trained model then exported as a protobuf file which contains the graph definition and the trained weights.

With AirGuard, you get the anti-stalking protection you deserve! The app scans your surroundings in the background to detect trackers like AirTags, Samsung SmartTags, or Google Find My Device trackers. If a tracker is following you, you will receive an instant notification. These trackers are often no larger than a coin and are unfortunately misused to secretly track people. Since each tracker works differently, you would typically need multiple apps to detect unwanted tracking. AirGuard combines the detection of various trackers into a single app – keeping you protected with ease. Once a tracker is detected, you can make it play a sound (for supported models) or perform a manual scan to locate it. If you find a tracker, we recommend disabling it to prevent further tracking of your location. The app stores location data exclusively on your device, allowing you to review where a tracker has followed you. Your personal data is never shared. If no trackers are found, the app runs silently in the background and won’t bother you. How does the app work? AirGuard uses Bluetooth to detect AirTags, Samsung SmartTags, and other trackers. All data is processed and stored locally on your device. If a tracker is detected in at least three different locations, you will receive a warning. You can adjust the security level in the settings to receive even faster alerts. Who are we? We are part of the Technical University of Darmstadt. This project is part of the scientific research conducted by the Secure Mobile Networking Lab. Our goal is to protect people’s privacy and investigate how widespread the issue of tracker-based stalking is. You can voluntarily participate in an anonymous study to help us gain more insights into the usage and spread of these trackers. The Aktivpause to Go App allows you to integrate planned breaks into your daily work. Alex vs Bus: The Race is a free and open source platform runner game in which Alex is just a man who depends on public transportation in a developing country and needs to run in order to catch the bus, or else he will have to wait an eternity for the next bus to come. Key features include: A finished game, no longer WIP, complete with 13 levels across 3 different difficulties and an ending sequence. Audio and visual style inspired by the 8-bit era, although the game is not bound to all of the technical limitations of the period. Keyboard, gamepad, and touchscreen (Android only) supported as input devices. A different cutscene when clearing each level. Customizable screen size. Scanlines visual effect. Cross-platform. AlexCalc is a scientific calculator with some neat features (note: also available as a web app at https://alexbarry.github.io/AlexCalc/ ): * nicely formatted (LaTeX) equation display. This avoids the need to count brackets to make sure the equation was entered correctly. Also includes LaTeX code generation. * complex number support, in rectangular or polar form (e.g. `3 + 4i` or `1 angle 90`) * variable storage (e.g. `123 -> x` then `3*x^2 - 4*x + 5 -> y`) * units in equations, and conversion (e.g. `1 inch * 3 ft to cm^2` or `sqrt(60 acre) - 100 ft`) * can enter input by button presses, typing, or copy/pasting. Button presses are all converted to plaintext input for easy copy/pasting. * equation display is simplified upon pressing enter. This means that when entering an equation, it is usually possible to look only at the LaTeX display and not the plaintext input: but when pressing enter, it will look nice. A collection of simple Lua games, and a web engine for playing them including an English dictionary (for word puzzles), websocket multiplayer, state sharing via URL, and auto saving with undo/redo. You can also upload your own games and play them. The android app bundles the web version for offline play. (For network multiplayer, try the web version at https://alexbarry.github.io/AlexGames). On the Android version there are two prototype features: * you can host an HTTP/websocket server on your phone, to allow people on your local network to play web games together. * you can play the Android native version. The web version is more polished, but the Android one demonstrates how games can be played without using a browser or webview at all.
